Global Ambassadors Scholarship

Represent the Diversity Abroad and BeGlobalii Community while abroad!

The Global Ambassadors Program is an initiative created for current students who are planning to study, intern, volunteer or teach abroad. The Global Ambassadors will serve as global correspondents, sharing their experiences to motivate other members of the BeGlobalii and Diversity Abroad community to go abroad. By writing insightful articles, sharing inspiring videos and pictures about your new surroundings, cross-cultural observations and personal growth, your words will inspire other diverse students to go abroad and challenge them to rethink how study abroad experiences can be for everyone.

Your Responsibilities

• Represent BeGlobalii for the duration of your fall 2024 program overseas
• Document your experience with photos and videos which will be shared on the BeGlobalii platform and social media channels (BeGlobalii, Instagram, LinkedIn YouTube)
• Write about your experience on social media (make sure to tag #beglobalii and #diversityabroad)
• Share your experiences upon your return via an article and/or video

Your Qualifications

• You are currently enrolled full-time at your college or university based in the United States
• You will participate in a semester/quarter study, intern or teach abroad program
• You are energetic, creative, and have a passion for international engagement
• You are a leader on campus and in your community
• You are committed to challenging stereotypes and leading a dialogue that promotes positive social change
• You possess strong writing skills and social media presence
• You have experience with photography and video production (added bonus)
• Students from the following backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply:

What you Will Gain

• Diversity Abroad will offer a $1000 stipend for fall 2024

• Video Essay Response to "How will participating in a global program help you achieve your academic, personal, and professional goals and how do you hope to use this experience to help influence other minority students to study abroad?"
• Please share your thoughts in a 2-3 minute video submission (emailed to community@diversityabroad.com)
• Verification of Study Abroad Program in the form of an acceptance letter, email or form (emailed to community@diversityabroad.com) Home university approval (signed by home university study abroad advisor and emailed to community@diversityabroad.com)

Deadline: The deadline for the fall 2024 programs is April 15, 2024.
