Diversity Abroad was started in 2006 with the vision of a former study abroad student. The concept was simple; to boost the number of traditionally underrepresented students who participate in international education exchanges. DiversityAbroad.com launched in May 2006 as the premiere website targeting traditionally underrepresented students for study abroad and other global exchange opportunities. In September 2008 Diversity Abroad launched the Go Global Campus Tour, the first global education/study abroad campus tour that focuses and promoting international education opportunities to traditionally underrepresented students. In 2009 Diversity Abroad will launch the Diversity Abroad Network, a global network of international educators who are dedicated to increasing diversity among students that pursue global education exchanges.
