As part of their efforts to increase diversity among study abroad participants many universities and organizations offer diversity scholarships and grants. The criteria for these funding opportunities vary depending on the granting institution. Some scholarships target students from specific ethnic backgrounds while other are applicable to students from disadvantaged economic backgrounds. Like with all study abroad scholarships and grants your student will want to apply early for diversity scholarships.
