Choosing a Study Abroad and Foreign Exchange Program Destination

linked
plus

Your student can study abroad almost anywhere in the world. The tough decision is deciding where to go! Your student’s personality, interests and goals will help them choose one destination over another. For example, if you want to learn French in a large cosmopolitan environment, Paris may be perfect. For another student learning French, a small town in Belgium will be a better fit. It all comes down to your student’s preference. When deciding a destination, your student should keep these two points in mind:

·         The perfect destination does not exist. No location will have everything your student is looking for.

·         Stay open-minded when choosing a location (open-minded students tend to gain the most from study abroad).

Make sure your student review the “Where to Go” sections for a list of questions every student should ask before choosing a destination:

Where to Go for University Students

Where to Go for Community College Students

Where to Go for High School Students
