Students take the literature class, Modern Irish Writing at Trinity College Dublin. Explore the best of Irish literary tradition and culture from 1900 to the present day. Visit the James Joyce Centre, Kilmainham Gaol, the National Museum, the National Library, the Irish Museum of Modern Art or see a play at Dublin's iconic Abbey Theatre. Supporting academic visits include entrance to the Old Library and the Book of Kells; a guest lecture with an Irish author/poet; a session on manuscripts and archives; and a session on staging Irish drama with a tour of the Smock Alley Theatre. Cultural and social activities ensure students experience all that this friendly Irish city has to offer including a guided walking tour of Dublin, a visit to the famous Guinness Storehouse, an evening of traditional Irish music and more. Travel excursions provide a taste of Irish life beyond the capital city, and an additional trip to the bohemian city of Galway is also available.

Select from a wide range of courses from business to economics and political science to sociology, studying at DEREE - The American College of Greece in Athens. Your student apartment, built to house the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team, is located a short walk from campus. AIFS Study Abroad in Stellenbosch, South Africa

Spectacular mountain ranges surround Stellenbosch, the university town in the winelands of the Western Cape. The elegant Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian houses that grace the oak tree-lined streets reflect the history of one of South Africa’s oldest towns. Take a stroll and you’ll find interesting museums, open-air coffee shops, bistros and a thriving art scene; go further afield and you can hike through vineyards, orchards and mountain ranges. Study here and become part of a vibrant academic community with a tranquil and laid-back atmosphere. AIFS in Stellenbosch offers a traditional academic program as well as a Learning for Sustainable Community Engagement Program (LSCE). Students can choose courses from Stellenbosch University’s full course catalog which cover a broad range of subjects. LSCE students take specific courses in Sustainable Community Engagement, plus one or two electives, in addition to volunteer work in the community. AIFS also offers students with an interest in art, photography, ceramics or marketing the opportunity to intern at the Ardmore Ceramic Studio in Kwazulu Natal.
