AIFS Study Abroad in Rome, Italy: Semester Internship

Earn up to 16 credits through a wide variety of courses when you study and intern in the “Eternal City” of Rome. You’ll receive international work experience, helping you test a potential career path while exploring interests and abilities in new ways. Live in an Italian home or in a student apartment as you experience numerous social and cultural activities, such as excursions to Viterbo and the Hot Baths, rugby and soccer matches, and visits to the Vatican museums and the Colosseum. You will also enjoy a 3-day trip to Naples and Pompeii and a 3-day trip to Venice. Prior to the start of the semester, you will attend a two-week language orientation in Florence. Volunteer opportunities are also available.

AIFS Study Abroad in Berlin, Germany

Berlin is arguably Europe’s hippest city – a dynamic, multicultural metropolis where the emphasis is on creativity and expression. This city has been on the rise architecturally, economically and socially since 1989. Cultural offerings include a thriving contemporary art and music scene, world class museums and world renowned orchestras, opera houses and theaters. Academic year, fall and spring semester students select a minimum of 4 classes from a large array of subjects at Freie Universität Berlin including German language (no previous German language study is required). Summer and January (winter) term students select from a number of courses offered at Humboldt University, Berlin's oldest university, including classes in German language, history and culture. Social and cultural activities and sightseeing around Berlin are included. Depending on the academic term, travel excursions may include a trip to Potsdam; Prague, Czech Republic; London, England; Dresden; or a week-long European city tour.
