The API French Language Immersion Program provides students with the opportunity to study intensive French language at the Institut Catholique de Paris, located in the 6th arrondissement (or neighborhood) of Paris. Five (5) U.S. college credits can be earned by students upon successful completion of their studies. Students will live with local host families who provide students with half-board and laundry once per week. Most classes will be held in the mornings, allowing for participation in API cultural and recreational activities in the afternoons and evenings.
Paris is well known as one of the most beautiful and intriguing cities in the world. While the city maintains its status as the premier modern city in France and a leader in politics, art and fashion, every city street holds some portion of the history of the city.
For the art lover, Paris holds hundreds of museums, all boasting incredible collections, including the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée Rodin and the Centre de Georges Pompidou. For the history lover, the tour should begin in the heart of old Paris, the Ile de la Cité, which lies in the middle of the Seine River. Students can explore the past, discover the present and create their future with Aspire by API in Paris.

API is working together with Colombia’s Ministry of Education (MEN) and a Colombian public institution, National Service of Learning (SENA), to provide conversational English training in job training centers and schools. English training is an important step to help locals succeed in school, find better jobs, and improve communication in the global market. Placements are available to teach conversational English in one of two ways: co-teach with a local Colombian teacher in 9-11th grade public school classrooms or at adult vocational training centers. Participants are required to teach 20-25 classroom hours and put in an additional 15-20 hours of classroom prep, grading, office hours, and staff meetings per week.

It is a great place for students, who make up 20% of the population and is home to one of the largest arts festivals in the world. Overlooked by the extinct volcano of Arthur’s Seat, sitting in the open parkland of Holyrood Park, Edinburgh is one of the greenest cities in the UK.
