The ulpan is an intensive immersive Hebrew language course that can be taken for either a four-or six-week period during the summer or winter. It incorporates a traditional curriculum of reading, writing and conversation skills with media, such as Israeli music, newspapers, movies, radio, as well as field trips. The course meets for four hours daily, Sunday-Thursday. Students are placed in an appropriate level based on results of a written exam prior to departure and an oral exam upon arrival. There are many levels of Hebrew offered in the ulpan from very basic to extremely advanced so students do not need any previous knowledge of Hebrew to attend.
