The Washington, DC Internship Program offers students the opportunity to study and intern in one of the world’s most important capital cities. Although known primarily as the capital of American politics, Washington, DC plays a pivotal role, both nationally and internationally, in business, law, the sciences, public relations, media, and the arts. The program offers students the opportunity to focus on leadership, public policy, and agenda setting in their area of interest.
This program is offered for those students who are looking to enhance their Spanish language skills while working abroad in one of Europe’s most important vibrant commercial centers. Students with sufficient language skills take three courses along with an internship, which ranges between 15 and 20 hours per week.
The Boston University Shanghai Internship Program offers a semester of study and internship experience, in the vibrant and booming metropolis of Shanghai. Chinese language courses are offered at all levels and no prior coursework in Chinese is required. Students with no previous background in Chinese enroll in the eight-credit “Beginning Intensive Chinese” course. This program gives students the opportunity to experience the professional culture of China and apply their coursework in language and culture on a day-to-day basis. Internship placements vary according to students’ interests, backgrounds, previous work experience, and language ability. The program provides opportunities in a wide range of disciplines, so students from all majors are encouraged to apply.
