Looking for a program to feed your fascination with China? CET Chinese Studies provides access to insider sites and events around Beijing. While studying the Chinese language, students get a broader perspective through Chinese Studies courses in English. You get to know your local community in Beijing through internship placements and through interactions with your Chinese roommate. Students of all language levels and majors who want to uncover China are welcome to apply.

CET Shanghai

Want to use international experience to build an amazing resume? Why not pursue an internship at a company or organization in Shanghai? Students in CET Shanghai get to understand the rewards and challenges of working abroad. They also undertake coursework that provides an academic context for their internship. Life with a Chinese roommate provides the opportunity to engage with Chinese culture outside of the workplace. This program is open to students of all majors and all language levels.

CET Beijing: Intensive Language

Want an intensive academic environment where your Chinese language skills are the top priority? CET Beijing students speak only Chinese and live with a Chinese roommate. All classes are centered around Chinese language learning--from language instruction to auxiliary classes in Chinese TV, character writing, newspaper, business and literature. This program is for serious students of all language levels, from beginners to heritage learners. The January Term is open to students with at least 3 semesters of previous Chinese language study.
