CET Japan

Ready to expand your Japanese language skills both in class and during free time? The CET Japan program is designed to maximize language improvement and allows students to complete at least a full year of university-level Japanese each term. The flexible curriculum includes options for electives in Japanese or in English. Japanese language learners of all levels and majors are welcome to attend the fall and spring programs. The summer program has a full-time language pledge and is open to students with at least 2 previous semesters of Japanese language.

CET Siena

Ready for a study abroad experience that includes rigorous academics and takes advantage of an off-the-beaten-path location? CET Siena is for Italy-lovers who are ready to make a full year's worth of Italian language progress and to delve deeper into their understanding of Italian culture through electives in history of art, studio art, film, literature and politics. Local roommates or homestays and a faculty-led Traveling Seminar open additional windows to Italian culture. University of Virginia oversees academics, making this program a good fit for serious students of all majors and Italian language levels. This program is open to students from all colleges and universities.

CET Brazil

This program is for students who want to step out of their comfort zone and come to understand Brazil from a local perspective. The basic curriculum is a combination of Portuguese language courses and electives taught in English, but intermediate and advanced students may opt for full immersion by taking direct enroll courses in Portuguese alongside Brazilian peers. Excursions provide insider's access, allowing students to engage with Brazilian society as actors, not spectators. Students of all Portuguese language levels and majors are welcome.
