Students in CET Shanghai get to understand the rewards and challenges of working abroad. They also undertake coursework that provides an academic context for their internship. Life with a Chinese roommate provides the opportunity to engage with Chinese culture outside of the workplace. This program is open to students of all majors and all language levels.

CET Brazil

This program is for students who want to step out of their comfort zone and come to understand Brazil from a local perspective. The basic curriculum is a combination of Portuguese language courses and electives taught in English, but intermediate and advanced students may opt for full immersion by taking direct enroll courses in Portuguese alongside Brazilian peers. Excursions provide insider's access, allowing students to engage with Brazilian society as actors, not spectators. Students of all Portuguese language levels and majors are welcome.

CET Siena

Ready for a study abroad experience that includes rigorous academics and takes advantage of an off-the-beaten-path location? CET Siena is for Italy-lovers who are ready to make a full year's worth of Italian language progress and to delve deeper into their understanding of Italian culture through electives in history of art, studio art, film, literature and politics. Local roommates or homestays and a faculty-led Traveling Seminar open additional windows to Italian culture. University of Virginia oversees academics, making this program a good fit for serious students of all majors and Italian language levels. This program is open to students from all colleges and universities.
