Want to gain insight into sustainability in greater China? Come to Beijing, and you’ll brainstorm ways to balance environmental, sociocultural, and economic needs. Through diversified coursework, excursions, and independent research, all of China will become your laboratory. This is a program that will forever change the way you look at China and the world around you. Study abroad in Beijing and you'll: - Gain an understanding of sustainability and its relevance within China and the world - Select nonintensive, Mandarin Chinese study, without language prerequisites, or choose to focus on area studies only - Learn about environmental, sociocultural, and economic issues in contemporary China - Participate in two trips, including a 10-day field study, where you’ll experience the lives of rural and minority peoples in China - Be part of a highly acclaimed, multicultural campus that has the feel of a small, liberal arts college

On our Global Sustainability and Environment program, you’ll examine sustainable urban design and the tools necessary to create a smarter urban future.
