CIEE offers unique opportunities to learn about contemporary Turkey as a society undergoing rapid urbanization and social transformation. During three weeks in January, discover Turkey’s history, politics, traditions, and people through cultural activities, excursions, and a course taught by an expert from a prestigious academic institution. This is a fantastic opportunity to study the dynamics at the border of Europe and the Middle East. Study abroad in Istanbul and you will: -Experience the country from multiple perspectives through visits to community centers, arts centers, and museums, research centers, and NGOs -Live with a host family or a local student in a dorm in central Istanbul -Go on a daytrip to Bursa, the first Ottoman capital
