Spend your summer improving your language skills and immersing yourself in Spanish culture in a city on the beautiful Mediterranean coast. Students interested in beginning their study of Spanish, or studying about an aspect of Spanish culture in English, can take one, two or three, four week sessions. First, see how activism and governance are defined and demonstrated in Ghana, the first African country to achieve independence. Then, gain a deeper understanding of the components of a stable democracy – from history to influences of religion and politics – in Senegal. Along the way, you’ll compare and contrast the successes and challenges of both political landscapes.
