CIEE Summer World Dance & Music Multi-Site Program in Seville + Legon

Spend your summer exploring traditional music and dance forms from Spain to West Africa. First up in Seville, study the art of flamenco – its styles, and rhythmic and melodic structures – from its origin to the present day. Next, head to Legon, to actively explore traditional music and dance from their foundations to symbolic meaning and interpretation. You’ll experience firsthand the richness and importance of music and dance and get a taste of the vibrant Spanish and Ghanaian cultures.

CIEE Summer The Politics of Africa Multi-Site Program in Legon + Dakar

Immerse yourself in the richness and complexity of West African politics in two of the region’s most politically active countries. First, see how activism and governance are defined and demonstrated in Ghana, the first African country to achieve independence. Then, gain a deeper understanding of the components of a stable democracy – from history to influences of religion and politics – in Senegal. Along the way, you’ll compare and contrast the successes and challenges of both political landscapes.
