The Diversity Abroad Network “Diversity Network” will offer summer scholarships in the amount of $1,000 for full-time undergraduate (both community college and university level) students attending a member institution.
Applicants must be full-time undergraduates at a university or community college based in the Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom or the United States. Economically disadvantaged students, African-American/Black, Asian, Hispanic/Latino, Multiracial/ethnic or Indigenous/Native-American, students with disabilities and first generation college undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants must meet the following criteria: • Attend a Diversity Network member institution (see if your institution is a member at www.DiversityNetwork.org/members). • Have minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA or the equivalent at an accredited university or college. • Be willing to share their experiences abroad with the DiversityAbroad.com community via articles, student story, and country guide submissions and participate in the DiversityAbroad.com community. Disbursement: Half of the scholarship is paid to student via Paypal prior to departure. The remaining scholarship is paid to student via Paypal after the program ends and all scholarship requirements are complete.
NOTE: The DiversityAbroad.com Overseas Ambassador Scholarship was formerly known as the DiversityAbroad.com/AIFS Blogging Scholarship. Diversity Abroad, in cooperation with the AIFS Foundation, will offer $500 scholarships for fall and spring semester. Five scholarships are available for each semester. Diversity Abroad & the University of Dayton's China Institute are proud to announce to a new partnership for study abroad starting spring 2017. Apply today for one of five $20,000 scholarships offered each semester towards your application to study at the China Institute through the University of Dayton. Funds will be applied towards the total program cost for a semester at the China Institute, which includes tuition, housing, meals, airfare, program transportation, Chinese visa costs and associated tours and excursions. Students who are not recipients of a $20,000 scholarship will still be considered for up to $15,000 in scholarships upon successful completion of a program application. Scholarship funds will only be applied towards applications for the China Institute through the University of Dayton, but please note that this scholarship is also available to students not currently enrolled at the University of Dayton. Mid-course scholarship recipients will have a check in meeting with the Diversity Abroad team. Scholarship recipients will blog, share their stories, picture, video and program review with the DiversityAbroad.com community. They will also serve as mentors for future participants. Each recipient will receive one complimentary registration to Diversity Abroad’s annual Global Student Leadership Summit.
UPDATE 11/1/2016: The deadline for this application has been EXTENDED to Fri, 11/18. Diversity Abroad and CISI are proud to award planning scholarships to students of diverse backgrounds at Diversity Network Member institutions. Planning scholarships are an opportunity to provide students with scholarship funds that will help them make the decision to study abroad. The awards, for $1,500 each, will be awarded to students to study abroad in the Fall the following year, and may be used to cover expenses for which financial aid is not readily available such as passports and visas, flights, program deposits, etc. The students do not need to have selected a study abroad program at the time of receiving this scholarship. Eligibility requirements: -Must demonstrate financial need (as demonstrated by your FAFSA) -Must be a freshman, sophomore, or junior at the time of application -Preference given to students who have not studied abroad before -Students of diverse and underrepresented backgrounds encouraged to apply

Each semester, AIFS offers up to 2 semester scholarships of $5000 to outstanding students from under-represented groups. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement and/or participate in community service activities. Diversity Abroad Achievement Scholarships can only be used for AIFS programs.
