Take the leap and study with French and international students at the leading business school in Paris— Novancia. Newly formed in 2011 with stunning, modern facilities, Novancia is a member of AACSB International, and offers courses in topics related to business, entrepreneurship, commerce, and more—all in English. This program is for qualified junior or senior students who are Business or Business-related majors or minors who have already completed courses in Finance, Macro- or Micro-economics, Management, or Marketing. In a direct enrollment program like this one, you are enrolled as a full-time student at a local institution, taking all of your courses there. You attend all of your Masters-level classes (suitable for junior and senior-level American students) with highly motivated French and international Novancia students who work together on projects, simulations, and practical business research. The IES Abroad Paris BIA Center is your home base, and the staff there are ready to support you as a direct enrollment student. Paris will also be your classroom. Imagine learning about economics from a leading Parisian expert, strolling along the River Seine after a lecture, or practicing the French you just learned with a local student in one of the city’s many cafés.
San Pedro, Granada, Granada, Spain
Our curriculum takes full advantage of Andalusia and all southern Spain has to offer. The program offers two unique program options that are designed to improve your Spanish proficiency: the Intermediate Spanish Program and Advanced Spanish Program.Students placed in the Intermediate Program take IES Abroad courses in both English and Spanish. The Advanced Program courses are conducted entirely in Spanish, including study at the Universidad de Granada. Both options introduce you to Spain’s Moorish heritage and Jewish past, and its continuing links to North Africa through Islamic and Contemporary North African Studies. Advanced students can also experience Arabic language courses of all levels, at the Universidad de Granada. You can also add international work experience to your résumé while earning credit by participating in an internship placement and accompanying academic seminar.

The goal of our 40+-year-old program is to help you explore contemporary London, both physically and culturally. Gain a deeper knowledge of British culture, including the central importance of history to the British. Explore the global impact of Britain on Western culture, including art, literature, and financial and political systems. Choose from more than 40 IES Abroad-taught courses taught by expert local faculty at our Center, as well as a course at one of our prestigious local partner universities—City University, Queen Mary, or the School of Oriental & African Studies. Not only are there hundreds of courses and disciplines available through our partner universities, but you also have the opportunity to make local British and international friends. Additional unique offerings include our Global Leadership Certificate for students interested in leadership studies (see page 14) and our creative workshop courses that focus on the production of a piece of creative work (writing, film, or fine art). While adding study abroad to your résumé is impressive enough, adding an international internship is even more powerful, and can help distinguish your application for graduate school or a job opportunity in today’s competitive market. Before you depart, we talk to you about the type of placement you’d like and then work to match you with a placement in London. Service learning placements are also available if you would like to gain a deeper understanding of the city’s culture and society.
