This is an excellent opportunity to gain international experience working with disadvantaged children and rehabilitated animals. Our partner organisation supports disabled children and young people who have experienced trauma to build confidence, resolve trust issues and improve their interpersonal skills. As a V2 volunteer, you will interact with the children whilst they wait for their lesson; you can run entertaining and educational workshops with them and planning engaging activities. If you have experiences caring for horses, you can join the therapists on the lessons and contribute to the day-to-day care of the horses. Working with children and animals can be extremely rewarding and even therapeutic. As well as gaining invaluable first-hand experience in an international setting, you will have the unique opportunity to live and work on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, Tobago. Tobago is famed for its pristine beaches and its lush protected rainforests, as well as its rich culture and warm, friendly people. There is plenty to keep you busy during your down time; you can explore coral reefs, go hiking in the rainforest, or even hop on a boat and visit the neighbouring island, Trinidad.
