Intern in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is an ideal location for interns who want to gain experience in their field, improve their Spanish language skills, and immerse themselves in a friendly and welcoming culture. With a thriving economy and an international reputation as a premier eco-tourism destination, Costa Rica offers interns the best of both worlds. Participants have the opportunity to be placed in a challenging internship at a local or international organization, and experience the lush tropical beauty and culture of this Central American gem. World Endeavors’ base in Costa Rica, the town of Atenas, offers proximity to the capital of San Jose, while still immersing participants in a tight-knit Costa Rican community. Interns can expect to work side by side with local colleagues, receive direction from a manager or staff member, and behave just as one would in a real job. On weekends or after work hours, interns engage in a host of activities depending on each participant’s tastes. Interns share meals with new friends or host family members, take in cultural events, explore the city, or even take day or weekend trips outside of the area. World Endeavors provides a list of possible activities in the area and the World Endeavors local coordinator can also function as an ever present guide and ambassador to the area.

Volunteer in Ghana

Ghana is a gem on the coast of West Africa, a country that boasts a vibrant tribal culture, breathtaking natural beauty, a world-class capital city, and a powerful and moving history. Its friendly English-speaking people and its status as a stable, peaceful democracy have given it a reputation as a great destination for first-time visitors to Africa. Nonetheless, Ghana faces many of the challenges other African countries face, including poverty and lack of infrastructure, and many Ghanaians do not have access to adequate healthcare or educational opportunities. Volunteers in Ghana work side by side with local people at schools, orphanages, health clinics, and environmental organizations to help build a stronger future for the Ghanaian people.
