Discover Europe

plus

Despite it’s relatively little size, Europe has played one of the most significant roles in the development of the modern world and global culture. Europe is considered to be the birthplace of Western Culture. The influence of Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire and the British Empire transformed the history of humanity in many ways than it is possible to enumerate.

Today, Europe remains arguably the most historically abundant continent on the planet: each country has a rich history and cultural identity, which has been developing for thousands of years. Nearly every county in Europe contains priceless works of art and architecture; at least the ones that were not destroyed during the global conflicts of the 20th century. Greece and Italy – the birthplaces of classical art and tradition, England – the birthplace of the English language, and many literary traditions; almost every country in Europe holds a very unique place in history, and contains a nearly infinite source of knowledge. Europe may not be the most culturally diverse place on the planet, at least in the modern sense of the word, neither does it offer the widest spectrum of biological variety, but the depth and complexity of Europe’s culture makes it one of a kind. Education has been a big part of European tradition across centuries; thousands of students all over the word flock to study in Europe, among some of the world’s best institutions. The tolerant and genuinely friendly populous of the continent coupled with cultural, historical and intellectual abundance, makes Europe an ideal destination to pursue the enlightenment.

Attractions

It may be impossible to enumerate the variety of attractions that Europe has to offer. The iconic image of the Eiffel Tower of Paris stands as the symbol of romance; the Coliseum of Rome stands both as a symbol of tremendous feats of technology and humanity’s often ignored cruel nature; the breathtaking architecture of Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona is perhaps the iconic image of Gothic Architecture, and aesthetic pleasure. Eastern Europe, which has undergone its stages of development at a different time from the West, offers a different variety of European culture – St. Petersburg stands as the perfect symbol of the Eastern European aesthetic, a complex blend of a variety of western influences, with a unique twist.

Education

Europe is responsible for the establishment of the first university in the world, and the modern system of higher education. Nearly every country in Europe has at least one world-class university.
