Germany

Once the sylvan home of the tribes that conquered Rome, and later a land of confederated princedoms, today Germany is a widely industrialized nation with more cities than any other European power. From the medieval streets of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck that is itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the ultramodern capital of Berlin, Germany has something to satisfy every urban explorer.
Germany is, and has been, a populous and powerful nation on the world stage. Since its unification in 1871, Germany has left an indelible mark on Europe through its military and economic exploits in two world wars, only to miraculously recover and build itself into one of the largest and most advanced economies in the world. Today Germany is a parliamentary republic and a major player in the EU.
Germany is known for its developed manufacturing industry, car industry, and advancement in areas of science. The German people are known for being industrious workers and prolific thinkers. Germany has produced some of the world’s greatest thinkers, including Goethe, Martin Luther, and Marx. World-famous composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach spoke German.
The German education system is completely subsidized by the state, even up to the universities. Today Germany is an excellent place to study science or work with international corporations on the cutting edge of technology.

Climate

Germany has a cool temperate climate. The west of Germany experiences a moderate and more humid oceanic climate, while the east is more extreme in temperature.
