Denmark vs Netherlands    Email  Print Forum

Hi :)

I am looking for some help choosing the university and the country to study at.

I have been accepted to both univesities that I applied - The Aarhus University in Denmark ( www.au.dk ) and The Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands ( www.eur.nl ).

So now my main interest is to decide which one is better, and although I have done a lot of tough thinking, a clear decision doesn't seem to come to me. So maybe someone has studied there and can share advantages/disadvantages of these places?

Thank you :)

I am currently studying in Denmark at DIS in Copenhagen and I love it here.  It is a great country full of lots of interesting cities and towns.  The train system is also very easy to use so you could travel throughout the country a lot.  Plus in Aarhus you will have an easy time getting to Germany, Berlin is where a lot of the Danes go on the weekends and flights tend to be pretty cheap.

If you like history Denmark has some great historical sites and well preserved towns and it is easy to get to norway, sweden, finland, greenland and iceland.  All unique places to go to visit and different from your average tourist places in Europe.

I have not been to the netherlands so I might be a little biased.  Let me know if you have any specific questions and good luck with your deceision
