So I decided while studying abroad to participate in a home stay and it has been amazing!!!  I have been really able to connect with the culture, learn the language and meet other Danes.  Plus it has been great to live outside the city where I am studying so I can see different parts of copenhagen. 

my family has been very welcoming and always includes me in activities.  I am very excited to travel with them in a few weeks to the Jylland.  

 Before chosng a host family however make sure to check out the program that is placing you.  Some placements do not always fit so make sure that you can have a rather easier time switching families or hosuing options if in a couple weeks you decide a homestay is not for you.
