AIFS Study Abroad in Florence, Italy: Semester Internship Program
The International Internship Program (IIP) includes mandatory Italian language, a 3- or 6-credit unpaid internship and one or two additional 3-credit courses related to the internship, and students may also choose an additional 1-credit optional Introduction to Italian Art course taught during the field trips to Rome and Venice, for a total of 15 credits earned for the semester. Placements are available in art, history, tourism, marketing, journalism, business, fashion, education and more. Prior to the start of the program students will have a 2-week Language and Internship Preparation Course to help them acclimate to life in Italy. Volunteer opportunities are available. A traditional academic program is also available, as well as a Fashion Management and Marketing Program.
Over 50% of our study abroad participants receive financial support from AIFS in the form of scholarships or grants.
