2023 Campus Tour Sponsor Information

Each year, Diversity Abroad embarks on the Campus Tour to visit a set of campuses across the United States. It is our way of bringing our resources directly to YOU - the students. Our sponsors help make the tour possible, and we'd like to share more about who they are with you.

IES Abroad

Integral in fulfilling our mission is a commitment to the representation and integration of diverse perspectives, cultures, and ideas. At IES Abroad, we understand that diversity must be cultivated and supported in several ways and at multiple levels—from accessibility and inclusiveness of a diverse student body to the learning environment and courses offered. We are dedicated to broadening access and cultivating a diverse, globally-savvy workforce.

London Metropolitan University

London Metropolitan University is one of the most socially and culturally diverse institutions in the world. Built on a strong heritage of widening access, the institution was originally founded in 1848 to deliver evening classes to improve the ‘moral, intellectual and spiritual condition of young men in the metropolis’. Through the many incarnations of the institution since then, this ethos has remained and today a total of 96% of London Metropolitan University’s student population is from at least one group that is underrepresented in Higher Education. As an institution we are highly invested in widening access to and participation in HE, and embed this ethos in all we do to ensure we meet our mission of ‘transforming lives through excellent education’. Due to the diverse makeup of our student body, support for students from underrepresented backgrounds is built into standard University operations throughout all phases of the lifecycle. We consistently perform at a higher level than our competitors in widening access; 65% of our students are BAME; mature students make up 56% of our student body; we are increasingly becoming a destination of choice for disabled students; 97.2% of our UK students come from state schools or colleges; and the vast majority of our students are first generation.
