Abstract

The traditional and religious majority in Italy ascribe to Catholicism - both the Vatican and the Roman Catholic Church are located in Italy. Islam is the second most practiced religion, however it is not formally recognized in Italy, which represents the country’s general view toward the religion and creates challenges regarding the funding of mosques, practice and safety of Muslims.
