AIFS Study Abroad in San José, Costa Rica: Semester Internship

Earn up to 19 credits through an internship placement and a variety of courses studying at Veritas University. Courses are taught in English and Spanish. Students must have a GPA of 2.6, be 20 years of age by the start of the placement, and have at least two years of college level Spanish and place into an advanced level of Spanish in order to participate. Live in a Costa Rican homestay within walking distance of the university and immerse yourself in "Tica" culture and Spanish language. Breakfast, dinner, laundry service and Internet are included. Cultural and social activities including excursions and day trips are also included in the program fee. The Internship Program allows students to gain valuable work experience and professional skills incorporated with their academic study. Students are placed in positions related to their major or interest and are assessed by meetings, as well as a final project and presentation. Placements are available in: biology, business, education, hospitality, social sciences, sports medicine, international relations, local NGOs and more.

Over 50% of our study abroad participants receive financial support from AIFS in the form of scholarships or grants.
