AIFS Virtuoso Institute (Powered by AIFS and GE)

The Virtuoso Institute, powered by AIFS Study Abroad and Global Experiences (GE), combines international coursework and an internship in a virtual setting. You are able to continue working toward your degree, earning academic credit for a part-time or full-time internship, and choosing from a selection of courses taught by international faculty.

AIFS has developed an international online curriculum using its global network of universities and faculty in over 15 countries from Argentina to Hungary to Ireland to Australia. The course and internship combinations are limitless and intended to align with not only your academic coursework but your personal and professional interests. For example, imagine taking a course on Sustainable Business in Latin America from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Chile, and a course on International Business from the University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain. Compliment these courses with an internship organized by Global Experiences at a digital recruitment agency based in San José, Costa Rica. GE utilizes its existing employer network in over 14 cities to match students with a guaranteed internship placement that suits the needs of both the student and the employer.

This is a structured program with verified employers and international institutions with a strong focus on professional development. Every participant benefits from the support and programming made possible by both organizations. This includes but is not limited to the CliftonStrengths assessment, personalized coaching, access to student advisory center, cultural videos including city tours, career workshops, and more. During the program, participants benefit from welcome and exit orientations, virtual site visits, and check-ins with staff.
