AIFS Study Abroad: Criminal Justice in Rome and London (Summer Traveling Program)
Explore England AND Italy this summer with AIFS! Earn 7 credits on the study and travel program Criminal Justice in Rome and London. Over the course of 7 weeks, you'll gain international perspectives on the subject.
Study History of the Italian Mafia on the Rome section and Understanding and Preventing Crime during the London section of the program. Classroom study is enhanced by field study including a CSI workshop on forensics.
Live in an apartment or homestay in Rome. In London you'll live in a homestay or, for an additional fee, you may select a shared student residence. A meal plan is included in both locations for all housing options.
Cultural and social activities include day trips, tours and visits to numerous landmarks and historical sites, a 2-day excursion to Florence and more. Optional excursions include a 3-day trip to Venice, a 2-day trip to Paris and a 3-day trip to Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius, Naples and Capri. Ample free time for exploring on your own is also included in the itinerary.

Earn up to 15 credits through a wide variety of courses studying at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Viña del Mar. Live in a shared student apartment or as a member of a Chilean homestay, a great way to immerse yourself in the language. Truly take in the culture of Chile with included social and cultural activities such as a day trips to Santiago, Valparaiso, and Isla Negra. Options include a 4-day excursion to the town of Pucon, which overlooks the Villarica Volcano. Community volunteer opportunities are also available.
Earn credits through a wide variety of courses when you study in beautiful, historic Florence at Richmond University. You’ll have the option to live in a homestay or in a student apartment as you experience many social and cultural activities, such as trips to local art galleries, an Italian cooking class, and visits to the local museums. Enjoy trips to Rome, Siena and Venice, immersing yourself in the Italian culture. Volunteer and internship opportunities are also available. AIFS in Florence includes a one-week orientation before the semester begins so students can acclimate themselves to Italian language and culture. Fall semester students attend orientation in the beach-side town of Pietrasanta, while spring semester students attend orientation in Rome. A for-credit International Internship Program (IIP) is also available, in which students take a 2-week Intensive Language Preparation course worth 2 credits. In the spring semester, a Fashion Management and Marketing Program is also offered. Volunteer opportunities are available and interested students can enhance their volunteer work with a for-credit Service Learning and Active Citizenship course.
