AIFS Study Abroad in Barcelona, Spain: Soccer and Sports Science Program
This innovative program combines a 3-credit course in Sport in Economy and Society with the option of taking 6 soccer training sessions led by professional coaches and 3 theory sessions which may include topics such as sports psychology, hygiene and nutrition and injury prevention. The 45-hour course is taught by faculty at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). Throughout the 3-week program, students can live in a homestay (breakfast and dinner provided daily), or in an apartment or student residence with a meal allowance. Different cultural and social activities are offered throughout the program, such as a welcome tapas dinner, city walking tours, and tours of museums and monuments. Additionally, several day trips are offered and there is an optional 3-day excursion to Madrid if students are interested!
Prague is a picturesque yet modern city. Its collection of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture makes it one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Explore the castles and cathedrals, discover landmarks of music and literature, and learn about the fascinating history of Prague and central Europe. AIFS offers two different programs in Prague: the Central and Eastern European Studies Program (CESP) at the University of Economics, as well as the Traditional Academic Program at Charles University.In both locations, there are an Internship Programs available to academic year and semester students, which can be found in various fields of interest such as advertising and PR, sales and social institutions. Earn college credit in South America's largest city, founded in 1554 by Jesuit priests. São Paulo has a unique ethnic diversity, not found anywhere else in the world. The multicultural metropolis is the economic and cultural heart of Brazil with the highest national consumer market and a vibrant fashion and music scene. Depending on the term, students can earn up to 9 or 18 semester credits while living in a homestay or student apartment/house. A meal allowance is provided. Cultural and social activities range from guided tours of the city center, to trips to art museums, and day trips to Juquehy Beach, Santos and Embu Das Artes.
