AIFS Study Abroad in Dublin, Ireland

Students take the literature class, Modern Irish Writing at Trinity College Dublin. Explore the best of Irish literary tradition and culture from 1900 to the present day. Visit the James Joyce Centre, Kilmainham Gaol, the National Museum, the National Library, the Irish Museum of Modern Art or see a play at Dublin's iconic Abbey Theatre. Supporting academic visits include entrance to the Old Library and the Book of Kells; a guest lecture with an Irish author/poet; a session on manuscripts and archives; and a session on staging Irish drama with a tour of the Smock Alley Theatre. Cultural and social activities ensure students experience all that this friendly Irish city has to offer including a guided walking tour of Dublin, a visit to the famous Guinness Storehouse, an evening of traditional Irish music and more. Travel excursions provide a taste of Irish life beyond the capital city, and an additional trip to the bohemian city of Galway is also available.

AIFS Study Abroad in Florence, Italy

Earn credits through a wide variety of courses when you study in beautiful, historic Florence at Richmond University. You’ll have the option to live in a homestay or in a student apartment as you experience many social and cultural activities, such as trips to local art galleries, an Italian cooking class, and visits to the local museums. Enjoy trips to Rome, Siena and Venice, immersing yourself in the Italian culture. Volunteer and internship opportunities are also available. AIFS in Florence includes a one-week orientation before the semester begins so students can acclimate themselves to Italian language and culture. Fall semester students attend orientation in the beach-side town of Pietrasanta, while spring semester students attend orientation in Rome. A for-credit International Internship Program (IIP) is also available, in which students take a 2-week Intensive Language Preparation course worth 2 credits. In the spring semester, a Fashion Management and Marketing Program is also offered. Volunteer opportunities are available and interested students can enhance their volunteer work with a for-credit Service Learning and Active Citizenship course. AIFS Study Abroad in Prague, Czech Republic

Prague is a picturesque yet modern city. Its collection of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture makes it one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Explore the castles and cathedrals, discover landmarks of music and literature, and learn about the fascinating history of Prague and central Europe. AIFS offers two different programs in Prague: the Central and Eastern European Studies Program (CESP) at the University of Economics, as well as the Traditional Academic Program at Charles University.In both locations, there are an Internship Programs available to academic year and semester students, which can be found in various fields of interest such as advertising and PR, sales and social institutions.
