AIFS Study Abroad in Grenoble, France: Intensive French Language
Study 15 semester credits of French language at the Centre Universitaire d’Études Françaises in Grenoble. Living with a French host family will reinforce your language ability while providing a friendly environment in which to practice your skills learned in the classroom. Immerse yourself in French life with a wide range of social and cultural activities, including a visit to Chateau de Vizille and local museums, as well as day trips to Annecy and Lyon. Excursions include a 4-day trip to Paris, and a 3-day trip to Provence, with optional excursions to Burgundy (2-days), London (2-nights with the flight package), and a 2-day Alpine weekend trip. Earn up to 16 credits studying at The University of Hyderabad, one of India’s premier institutions of post graduate teaching and research, was established by an act of parliament in 1974 as a Central University, wholly financed by the University Grants Commission. The University’s scenic and serene campus spreads over 2,300 acres, 12 miles from the city of Hyderabad. Amid the scenic environment of the campus, several buildings catering to the academic needs, support facilities and residential requirements of the campus community have been constructed over the years. Since 1998, the University has offered foreign students a special program – the Study in India Program (SIP). This is an interdisciplinary program emphasizing heritage, continuity and change in India. A Community Engagement Program (CEP) is offered, in which students will be placed in a non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and will experience first-hand the role of NGOs in various development initiatives in the local community while also earning college credits!
The St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1899 and became one of the major universities of Russia and the former Soviet Union. It was raised to the status of state technical university in 1990 in recognition of its importance. The University is home to more than 26,000 students and 2,000 professors, lecturers and instructors. The academic program is organized by the Russian Language Center at the Preparatory Department for Foreign Students, one mile from the main campus. This department trains students from all over the world who wish to enter higher education at Russian universities and is highly regarded for excellent teaching of Russian as a foreign language.
