AIFS Study Abroad in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
This Galápagos program gives students the opportunity to earn 3 credits studying an environmental science course in one of the most pristine natural laboratories in the world. Stay with local families on San Cristóbal Island and in hotels in Quito and Santa Cruz Island. Based at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) extension campus on the island of San Cristóbal and taught by USFQ faculty, you will study major ecosystems of the islands and experience them firsthand on academic field excursions to designated visitor sites. These locations include some of the world's most beautiful beaches as well as species of flora and fauna that exist nowhere else on earth. Prague is a picturesque yet modern city. Its collection of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture makes it one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Explore the castles and cathedrals, discover landmarks of music and literature, and learn about the fascinating history of Prague and central Europe. AIFS offers two different programs in Prague: the Central and Eastern European Studies Program (CESP) at the University of Economics, as well as the Traditional Academic Program at Charles University.In both locations, there are an Internship Programs available to academic year and semester students, which can be found in various fields of interest such as advertising and PR, sales and social institutions. Earn college credit in South America's largest city, founded in 1554 by Jesuit priests. São Paulo has a unique ethnic diversity, not found anywhere else in the world. The multicultural metropolis is the economic and cultural heart of Brazil with the highest national consumer market and a vibrant fashion and music scene. Depending on the term, students can earn up to 9 or 18 semester credits while living in a homestay or student apartment/house. A meal allowance is provided. Cultural and social activities range from guided tours of the city center, to trips to art museums, and day trips to Juquehy Beach, Santos and Embu Das Artes.
