Direct Enrollment at FSU London Study Center: This program is perfect for the student who wants to study abroad in London, but is looking for a more affordable, and more familiar alternative to the many other academic options in the city. Since 1971, the FSU London Program has offered students from across the U.S. a liberal arts curriculum in a historic seat of Western government, commerce, and literature. The FSU London Study Center is centrally located in London in a row of 17th century buildings registered on the British National Heritage list. The Center is approximately five minutes from the British Museum and seven minutes walking distance from API housing. | Theater Arts Program at FSU London Study Center: The Theatre Academy London (TAL ) program at the Florida State University London Study Center is a training program that enables students to study with some of London’s leading theatre artists and earn academic credit toward their degrees. TAL offers a uniquely wide range of conservatory-style courses, from acting, to playwriting; from stage combat to directing; and from movement to Shakespeare.

API Gap Year in Paris, France

Students in this program select a combination of French language and cultural electives, and have the option of taking cultural electives in English. Contact hours of French language depend on the level of French a student has. Depending on how many contact hours of French language and culture a student takes, they may be able to take 1 or 2 cultural electives (offered in English).

Live with local host families, in a shared apartment, or in a student residence and experience Paris like a local.

Students at all levels have the option of earning an additional three credits each semester if they complete an elective course taught in English exclusively for UCONN and API students through the University of Connecticut.

All students with 4 semesters of college-level French (equivalent to the intermediate level) or more are able to participate in the teaching internship for an additional 3 credits. Beginning and intermediate-level students can also do the internship, but are not eligible to earn credit or a grade for the experience. Spaces are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first served basis and is an additional fee.
