Who We Are
Asterisco was born in May 2002, from the union of competences and experiences coming from experts in different ambits and activities: research, vocational training, creation of companies, advanced tertiary services.
Asterisco has 3 areas of activity:
1 - Vocational Training and Services for Work;
2 - Projects and Transnational Mobility;
3 - Social and Cultural Activities.
InSicilia is a Department within Asterisco working in the area of European Projects and Transnational Mobility. Since 2010 InSicilia has been working in the ambit of Community Programs such as the Leonardo da Vinci and the Youth in Action, today it also works with Erasmus Plus in order to promote professional and formative mobility in different areas of Europe, offering support to those who wish to spend a study period, internship or non-formal learning abroad to enrich their professional and personal backgrounds.
InSicilia believes that the internship experience abroad is a key opportunity for young Europeans. It is an opportunity for the trainee to get involved in the labour market: through a deep first-hand experience in a specific sector, the participant develops his or hers capacities fostering the transition to the working world.
InSicilia proposes a high quality internship experience in enterprises or organizations active in various economic sectors, such as: Tourism and culture, Catering and Restaurant, Services, Administration and accounting, Early childhood education, Mechanics, Marketing and communication, IT and Electronics.
Training: courses, workshops, technical visits
Our courses, workshops, seminars, technical visits dedicated to European teachers, trainers, experts, policy makers and others who want to develop professional skills in interactive and inspiring atmosphere. We offer courses in the following areas: New Technologies, Marketing, Administration, Finances, Entrepreneurship, Culture, Arts, Handicrafts, Tourism and Hotel Industries, Teaching Methodology, Communication.
We could also organize a training course considering your needs since we work in partnership with local Enterprises and Organisations, active in various economic sectors, to design and deliver tailor-made programmes for young people, teachers, trainers and experts.
Services and activities
InSicilia provides the support to mobility programmes such as a study period abroad, internship or work abroad opportunities in order to enrich participants' backgrounds, skills and competences. Besides that, InSicilia offers other services and intercultural activities to assure the success of the mobility period and to foster the social and cultural growth of the participants.
InSicilia organizes Cultural Activities in order to facilitate the inclusion of the participants in various socio-cultural environments in Palermo. These activities include: Conversation Exchange, Cultural Visits, Social e-bike, Workshop on Sicilian folk music and drums, Sicilian cooking experience.
Also we offer: Monitoring and Evaluation of the participants, Tutorship, Certifications for certifications, Free use of the office, Logistic services, Welcome meeting, Orientation, Accomodation.
