The CAPA Buenos Aires Program is hosted at Universidad Austral, located in one of the cities’ most beautiful neighborhoods. A small prestigious school, Universidad Austral connects easily to the city for easy travel to many famous landmarks including the Teatro Colon, the Obelisk, Recoleta Cemetery, the museum mile, and much more. Students live with host families throughout the city with daily breakfast and dinner included. If you want to experience the diverse Latin American culture of Buenos Aires firsthand, this is the program for you.

Global Seminar: Wrongful Conviction

It’s impossible to imagine what it’s like to be convicted for a crime you didn’t commit, and yet it happens every day to innocent people across the globe. The progress of science and ability analyze evidence in new ways, along with determination for justice, is giving many of these people a chance to be set free. CAPA’s wrongful conviction seminar is taught by a lawyer who has spent much of his life dedicated to freeing those wrongly imprisoned through the California Innocence Project. In this seminar, you will be study lectures, readings, videos, and participate in case studies and exercises to best understand how to protect the rights of those mistakenly incarcerated.

The CAPA Shanghai Global Cities Program

Centrally located in the heart of Shanghai, CAPA’s Program places students in the world’s newest powerhouse. Students study at East China Normal University (ECNU) a world-renowned research university known for its beautiful campus scenes with gardens, canals, bridges, and open space.
