Dolomit-LABA Summer School on Lake Garda (Trentino, Alps, Italy)

Dolomit partnered with the local branch of the college of art and design LABA (“Libera Accademia di Belle Arti”) to offer an innovative summer school on the northern shore of Lake Garda, in Northeast Italy. The program specializes in Fine Arts, History, Environmental Studies, and Italian, and prioritizes students’ active learning and the use of local natural and cultural resources. Participants can enroll in up to five 3-week sessions, between May 21 and September 3. An optional Discovery Week is also offered to facilitate participants' adaptation to the new environment. FINE ARTS courses: - Modernism in Europe and the United States, late-19th c. to mid-20th c. - Futurism and the 20th-c. International Avant-Gardes - Introduction to Digital Photography - Digital Photography: Landscapes and Reportage HISTORY courses: - Europe in the Age of the World Wars, 1900-1945 - Introduction to Public History ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES courses: - Environment, Culture and Society - Food, Culture and Society - Applied Ecology ITALIAN courses: - Elementary Italian 1 & 2 - Intermediate Italian 1 & 2 - Advanced Italian 1 & 2
