Amsterdam Direct Enrollment Conservatorium van Amsterdam As a Music student, you will flourish in the thriving arts environment of Amsterdam, a city known for its ability to embrace expressions of the human spirit. Enrolling in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, the largest and most diverse music conservatory in the Netherlands, integrates you fully into a specialized institution where you study with other students who are dedicated to the study of music. The Conservatorium van Amsterdam takes full advantage of the established reputation in music to offer outstanding instruction in classical and jazz music performance, theory, and composition. The Conservatorium is dedicated to upholding superior standards of teaching, performing, and creating music through a highlyindividualized course of study. It aims to train you to become a versatile musician at the highest level of professional musicianship. A member of the Amsterdam School of the Arts, the CvA was originally established as the Amsterdam Conservatorium in 1884. The vast majority of courses at the CvA are taught in English. If you wish to study at the CvA, you should be a strong Performance, Composition, or Theory major with the motivation and intention to become a professional musician, a music scholar, or a composer. Finally, we want you to feel at home in Amsterdam, so we do everything we can to help you integrate into life abroad. We also take you on field trips to see some of the great cities of the Netherlands, such as Groningen and Maastricht. Amsterdam Direct Enrollment Gerrit Rietveld Academie As an Art student, you will flourish in the thriving arts environment of Amsterdam, a city known for its ability to embrace expressions of the human spirit. The Gerrit Rietveld Academie is a progressive, innovative art and design school that values the productive interplay between theory and practice, between research and experimentation. With a philosophy that stresses independence and creativity through a highlyindividualized curriculum, the GRA wants you to be self reliant and highly motivated qualities you will need to be a successful professional artist. Within the unstructured group studio environment at GRA, you are not given assignments or syllabi, but receive individual coaching from Academie tutors. The population is diverse at GRA, with more than 50 nationalities represented in its student body. Most of the 200 tutors are independent artists or designers who bring realworld, professional experience to the classroom. Amsterdam will also be your classroom. Study the Dutch Golden Age in art at the famous Rijksmuseum or the famous works at the Van Gogh Museum. And be sure to enjoy one of the many concerts that take place at the prestigious Amsterdam Concertgebouw. IES Abroad Cape Town - University of Cape Town Semester/Year

In Cape Town, every day will be like a choose-your-own-adventure book, with outdoor activities to enjoy, South African residents to meet, and African cultures to learn. Field experience in and around Cape Town is a core component in our program. Participate in field work and research opportunities (like the University's Students' Health and Welfare Centres Organisation's volunteer program) that will give you practical exposure to topics you're learning at South Africa's leading research university, the University of Cape Town (UCT). Through these opportunities, you will get a first-hand look at the city's society and a landscape that is constantly changing. Cape Town will be your classroom. From visiting local gems like the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens (a natural UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Castle of Good Hope, we challenge you to take full advantage of South Africa's beautiful climate and geography. We'll also take you to Kruger National Park for a three-hour game drive with one of Kruger's experienced game rangers.
