IES Abroad Shanghai Summer - Internship

Shanghai Summer - Internship Witness how globalization affects Shanghai, an economic and cultural hub of more than 18 million people, and develop a greater understanding of how the influence of China is increasingly affecting the world. Our program guarantees an internship placement to help you develop professional skills that will jump-start your résumé and make you more attractive to employers in the competitive job market. Our unpaid, academic internships have placed Shanghai students at companies such as General Biologicals Corporation, Horizon FuelCell Technology, and UnicView Marketing Research & Consulting, while also showing students the sights and sounds of China. Before you depart, we work with you to fine-tune your résumé, perfect your cover letter, hone your networking and interview skills, as well as prepare you for working in a new cultural environment. You will be guaranteed a placement at a local business or organization, where you will work for at least 20 hours a week. You will also enroll in a required 1- or 6-credit academic internship seminar with other IES Abroad interns, where you will learn about a variety of local business settings and opportunities. You also can enroll in an optional 3-credit Chinese language course. With our dedicated staff and international connections, you can be sure that you will find an internship that meets your goals. IES Abroad Granada - Study in Granada - Semester/Year

Many travelers who visit Granada insist it’s the must-see city in all of Spain. With one of the clearest windows into Spain’s unique historical symbiosis of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, Granada is also a youthful city with a vibrant student life that will make meeting new friends even easier—Granada awaits! Our curriculum takes full advantage of Andalusia and all southern Spain has to offer. The program offers two unique program options that are designed to improve your Spanish proficiency: the Intermediate Spanish Program and Advanced Spanish Program. Students placed in the Intermediate Program take IES Abroad courses in both English and Spanish. The Advanced Program courses are conducted entirely in Spanish, including study at the Universidad de Granada. Both options introduce you to Spain’s Moorish heritage and Jewish past, and its continuing links to North Africa through Islamic and Contemporary North African Studies. Advanced students can also experience Arabic language courses of all levels, at the Universidad de Granada. You can also add international work experience to your résumé while earning credit by participating in an internship placement and accompanying academic seminar.

IES Abroad Nice - Business, Sustainability & Immigration

Set upon the edge of the Mediterranean Sea on the glamorous French Riviera, Nice beckons with its mild climate and clear skies. Whether you’re strolling along the famous palm-lined Promenade des Anglais to witness the sunset over the sea, or looking down from Colline du Chateau (Castle Hill) at the sweeping panorama of this breathtaking city, Nice will enchant you. Enjoy all that Côte d'Azur has to offer while studying the culture and history of the French Mediterranean coast, improving your language skills (no experience required), and learning about business with other international students. You will take your language and area studies courses at the IES Abroad Center, accompanied by IPAG Business School courses. The IPAG Business School is located in the economic heart of Nice and offers many courses taught in English (only a few electives are taught in French).
