IES Abroad Sydney Summer - Internship

Global brilliance begins here.

IES Abroad Sydney Summer - Internship

A relatively young city, Sydney has grown to become one of the world’s most multicultural cities—international fusion of culture, languages, and ideas with more than 4.6 million residents. Commute to work via train, bus, or ferry. Walking works, too. Lunch can be the traditional meat pies, sausage rolls, or fish and chips. An IES internship develops your professional skills, your ability to communicate across cultures, and provides substantive work experience to jump-start your career in today’s competitive job market. You’ll be guaranteed an unpaid internship placement at a local business or organization, where you’ll work up to 40 hours a week. We will work with you to find the closest placement match between your professional and personal goals with what’s available in Sydney. Before you depart, we work with you to fine-tune your résumé, perfect your cover letter, and hone your communication and interview skills as we prepare you for working in a new cultural environment. After the work week, spend your free time exploring Sydney’s beaches, the famous Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and other architectural highlights, the Royal Botanic Garden, and the surrounding neighborhoods AVAILABLE FIELDS: Accounting Advertising Business Education/Language Instruction Event Management & Public Relations Human Resources Information Technology (IT) Law Marketing Media & Communications Not-for-Profit Organizations Social Services/Organizations Tourism
