Wildlife Conservation, Costa Rica - Intern Abroad HQ

Minimum Duration: 2 weeksLanguage Requirement: Basic SpanishEligibility Requirement: Background in biology or related field and be reasonably fit, as position involves moderate physical activityJoin efforts that are dedicated to the conservation of marine or terrestrial species. Placements include a wildlife research station or a marine conservation center and interns are placed subject to availability. Typical tasks may include caring for injured or rehabilitating species, cleaning and maintenance, participation in educational campaigns, aquaculture, assisting in fieldwork and data collection from ongoing research.Our internship programs include a guided reflection course, which combines personal development with professional competency building. Interns receive weekly reflection modules to complete during their program - each introduces a new topic, presents learning objectives, and provides specific prompts to inspire the reflective journaling process.

Participants assist with daily animal care at a shelter and, according to any level of current veterinarian training, may additionally shadow and work alongside local vets at a clinic.Our internship programs include a guided reflection course, which combines personal development with professional competency building. Interns receive weekly reflection modules to complete during their program - each introduces a new topic, presents learning objectives, and provides specific prompts to inspire the reflective journaling process.Internships in Peru are available beginning every Monday. Placements are based in Cusco city and the beautiful surrounding valleys. The locations are optimal for combining tourism activities and cultural excursions with a valuable and immersive internship experience.
