Gap and First Year Study Abroad

Eligibility: Students with High School (secondary school) qualification Students in the First Year of University who are yet to complete any tertiary-level study Semester 1 and/or Semester 2 Dates: 6 March-1 July and/or 31 July-25 November Tuition fee: AUD $12,000 per semester Short Term 2017 Dates: 27 May - 8 July Fees: $3,000 AUD for 1 unit of study, $6,000 AUD for 2 units of study Study: Choose from over 170 subjects spanning 16 Faculties and Schools, including Arts, Social Sciences, Business, Education, Music, Engineering & IT, and Science.

Study Abroad Internships

Do you want to maximise your Study Abroad experience* whilst at the University of Sydney? This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the Australian business culture and shape your future career. Apply for Sydney Abroad Internships (ARTS2600), a 6 credit point unit of study which includes a 120 hour* industry or research work placement. *minimum 120 hours placement can be increased if necessary for credit transfer back to home university The Unit of Study There are four intakes for 2016: • Semester 1, March - June (13 weeks) • Semester 2, July - Nov (13 weeks) • Short-Term, 21 May - 1 July (6 weeks) • Summer Session, Jan - Feb (8 weeks) The unit requires completion of a minimum 120 hours placement and the following assessment tasks: • 8 hours of professional development workshops • 4 Blackboard discussions (200 words each) • 4 reflective journals (400 words each) • 1 final project report (2500 words) Taking the internship unit, ARTS2600, contributes no extra fees and students receive a final grade that appears on their University of Sydney transcript. *Internships are available to Study Abroad students only (excludes exchange).
