Volunteer in Costa Rica

Costa Rica’s renowned biodiversity, laid-back culture, and breathtaking landscapes make it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Latin America. Costa Rica is home to 5% of the world’s biodiversity, while occupying only 0.25% of the world’s landmass. The Costa Rican people, affectionately known as “Ticos,” have a well-deserved reputation for being friendly, fun-loving, and welcoming to foreigners. Despite its natural beauty and wonderful people, Costa Rica experiences the problems that plague many Latin American countries. Many nonprofit organizations that work to improve conditions in local Costa Rican communities lack funding and volunteer support. With eco-tourism ranking as Costa Rica’s main industry, education and environmental conservation are essential to ensuring a bright future for the Costa Rican people.

Intern in India

India’s booming economy makes it a hub of industry and business activity, while its unique culture and rich history have made it one of the most influential countries in the world. Interns who are interested in immersing themselves in millennia-old cultures while gaining experience in a dynamic, emerging market would do well to consider India as the destination for their internship. And those who wish to do some exploring while abroad will find a plethora of options: the diversity of India from coast to coast is immense, as is the opportunity to experience new sights, sounds, and tastes. Interns can expect to work side by side with local colleagues, receive direction from a manager or staff member, and behave just as one would in a real job. On weekends or after work hours, interns engage in a host of activities depending on each participant’s tastes. Interns share meals with new friends or host family members, take in cultural events, explore the city, or even take day or weekend trips outside of the area. World Endeavors provides a list of possible activities in the area and the World Endeavors local coordinator can also function as an ever present guide and ambassador to the area.
