For learners of all ages who want a life-changing cultural exchange experience, YFU offers a wide range of opportunities lasting from a few weeks to many months, designed to engage individuals at various points in their lives. As a staff and volunteer-supported network of more than 70* international partners, we help participants broaden their perspective through immersive experiences that share a culture from the inside out, promoting the understanding that we are all citizens of one world. Mission: YFU advances intercultural understanding, mutual respect and social responsibility through educational exchanges for youth, families and communities.

A full scholarship is available to African-American students attending urban public high schools in Michigan or South Carolina, with a focus on the Detroit Metro area in Michigan, and Beaufort and Charleston counties in South Carolina. Non-U.S. citizens may apply. Scholarship recipient will be responsible for the application fee, any visa fees, and personal spending money.
