CAPA London: Wrongful Conviction

Did you know that more people are sent to jail each year in the United States than in any other country? Most of these are well-deserved convictions, but it’s also very likely that there’s someone sitting in a cell right now, not too far from where you’re sitting, that is serving time for a crime they did not commit. This is happening more than ever and there’s a growing movement to fight for justice for these victims who deserve to be exonerated and reunited with their families.

Our London center runs an accelerated four-week program during the summer that will give you an opportunity to study human rights with a focus specifically on the area of wrongful conviction. You’ll take two courses and have opportunities to observe trials as well as visit London-based organizations working in human rights and on behalf of the wrongfully accused.
