IES Abroad Buenos Aires – Advanced Spanish Immersion

IES Abroad

You read, write, and speak Spanish well—so why not take your education to the next level? Live and study abroad in Buenos Aires, where the local people are open and interested in speaking Spanish with you and helping you learn their language, history, and culture.

Specially designed for students with advanced Spanish language proficiency, our program allows you to build on your language skills as you immerse yourself in the culture of Argentina. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our Academic Symposium, which our Center hosts at the end of the fall and spring semesters to give students the chance to conduct and share their research with IES Abroad colleagues, teachers, staff, and even host families. This is a great opportunity for the academically minded who wish to hone their research, writing, or presentation skills, or for those looking to buff up their graduate school applications. Oh, and you’ll get to brag about being published!

You can enroll in courses at local universities, including the Universidad Torcuato di Tella, Universidad de Buenos Aires, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, where you’ll experience the Argentine educational system first-hand and enjoy access to local student activities.

Four or more semesters of college-level Spanish are required in order to participate in this program.
