IES Abroad Paris Summer – Language Immersion

Immerse yourself in the French language, and one of the most famous, beautiful, and culturally rich cities in the world. Paris will be your classroom as you explore the open-air markets, 19th-Century passageways, diverse neighborhoods, and so much more. You will learn that Paris is a city of tradition and innovation. Paris is alive with energy as it prepares for its future as a green, sustainable city, and to be the host of the Summer Olympics in 2024.

You will enroll in one or two courses for a total of 6 credits. Depending on your language level you either enroll in one 6-credit language course, one 3-credit language and one 3-credit area studies course, or two 3-credit area studies courses.

Your French language level will be determined on site. All of our courses are taught by native French speakers and incorporate course-related trips in Paris, including visits to art museums and to architectural and historical landmarks.

Two or more semesters of college-level French are required in order to participate in this program.

Applying to an IES Abroad program is easy—just follow the three study abroad application steps outlined below. If you have any questions during the application process, visit the FAQs or contact your Program Advisor at 800.995.2300. You can do this!

1.    Check the application deadline and review the application requirements for your study abroad or internship program of interest. Plan to submit all of the required information by the deadline.

2.    Create an account or log in to complete and submit the initial online study abroad application.

3.    After 1-2 business days, sign in to your MyIESabroad account to view and submit the rest of the application requirements. You will also receive regular emails about deadlines and missing items.
