Diversity Abroad.com and related Sites are designed to connect students, who are 18+ of age, with opportunities for academic, professional, and personal development. While many of our online resources are available without providing personal details, some of our online services gather information about each user in order to create a personalized experience.
Some of our online services give users the option to create a user account where they provide personal identifiable information, such as names, emails, addresses as well as information on user’s interests and affiliations, and resume/CV. Users are notified what information is required to participate for each service. Example below show what type of information may be collected and used according to this Policy:

- Creating a profile
- Uploading a resume
- Completing a form to receive an e-newsletter
- Contacting us for technical support or customer service
A user’s profile can be viewed by Diversity Abroad partners if a user selects that option.
Information associated with actions you take on the platform may also be collected by us. For example, submitting an application on our site for a scholarship.
You may connect your DiversityAbroad user account to your Facebook account, or other applicable social media account (collectively, “Social Media Service”). The information we collect when you connect your user account to a Social Media Service may include your public profile information, email address, and location. This information also constitutes personal information and is therefore subject to this Policy. Users are advised to check their privacy settings with Social Networking Sites to determine preferences of sharing information by third parties.

Through our community and your requests, we may retain any messages and content that you share on the Sites. We may use this information to assess and enhance our services, online community, as well as troubleshoot for technical issues and communicate to you any issues about the Sites.
How do we share your Information?
Any personal information shared on the site is available to Diversity Abroad team members and its consultants who support our website and services which are available to you. We limit access to personal data only to those employees or consultants with a specific need to access or retrieve this information by using a username and password.
Diversity Abroad screens its partners and all partners engaged with DiversityAbroad.com platform and related Sites. They must must comply with our policies, our information collection, and are not permitted to sell your information to third parties or to use it except as authorized by us and you, or as permitted or required by law.
Our partners information will be added through the Sites to our client relationship management software (Salesforce) to assist us in creating a better partner experience.
We reserve the right to use or disclose any information without notice or consent as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request; to conduct investigations of consumer complaints or possible breaches of law; to protect the integrity of our site and our property; to protect the safety of our visitors or others; to fulfill your requests; or to cooperate in any legal investigation.
Third party Advertising Companies
We may use third-party advertising companies such as DoubleClick for publishers to serve ads when you active in the online community. These companies may use information (not including your name, street address, email or telephone number) about your visits to the Sites and other web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

Deleting my information
At any time, a user can unsubscribe and also delete their account. Deletion of an account may lead to the termination of your account and access to services. After you have deleted your account, please be aware that we may keep inaccessible copies of your information for a reasonable period of time for legal purposes to the extent permitted by applicable law.
