AIFS Gap Year Programs: Galápagos Islands, Ecuador (J-Term)

This Galápagos program gives students the opportunity to earn 3 credits studying an environmental science course in one of the most pristine natural laboratories in the world. Stay with local families on San Cristóbal Island and in hotels in Quito and Santa Cruz Island. Based at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) extension campus on the island of San Cristóbal and taught by USFQ faculty, you will study major ecosystems of the islands and experience them firsthand on academic field excursions to designated visitor sites. These locations include some of the world's most beautiful beaches as well as species of flora and fauna that exist nowhere else on earth. AIFS is a premier provider of study abroad programs. Comprehensive fees cover tuition and housing, with scholarship funding available. A meal plan, tours and excursions, insurance and 24-hour emergency service are also included.
